This is the first time we have spent Christmas away from home in a hotel on an organised holiday.
The holiday was by Johnsons of Henley in Arden. Travel was by their coach and was door to door. Destination was Llandrindod Wells in central Wales.
The Metropole Hotel.
The hotel is a comfortable modern hotel with about 240 rooms. It is a family run hotel that has been run by the same family for over 100 years. All rooms are en-suite and there are extensive facilities including a modern gym, spa facility and heated indoor swimming pool. Food has been excellent and more than we can eat.

A male voice choir from Rhayader and a smaller female choir provided entertainment on the first evening of the holiday. Later evenings featured a disco, although few people were dancing, and an entertainer whose singing was not truly appreciated by the audience.
