Family Week-end in Derbyshire                                Home

15th - 19th April 2011

The whole family met for a week-end in the beautiful surroundings of the Derbyshire Peak District. We rented a large converted barn, very nicely restored and converted, a few miles north of Ashbourne. The weather was warm, dry and sunny. We went for a couple of walks, one a circular along part of the Tissington Trail during which we looked for and found several Geocaches. These were duly updated and returned to their places. There was a good grassy field in front of the Barn where the children could play and where we could watch pheasant feeding.

We walked a circular walk around the barn on Saturday. It was hot and sunny and the route was very up and down.

On Sunday we walked a circular walk starting and finishing in Tissington, walking along part of the Tissington Trail.
