Firenze
Firenze was extremely busy and crowded with tourists and traffic. The queue for La Galleria dell'Accademia was too long so we visited Il Palazzo Bargello instead. This is a museum of sculpture but had many other objects besides statuary. There were ceramics, ivory objects, metal objects such as locks and keys, glass. Photography was not allowed inside the galleries, only out in the courtyard.

A series of Ancient Football
matches started on the Sunday. The pitch was a sand pitch set up in the piazza
in front of La Chiesa Santa Croce. It was also being shown on TV.
