Vicenza
We are staying in an apartment in converted outbuildings of the Palazzo Rosso. The Palazzo is still standing, but no longer occupied. It is a listed building and has only had a new roof to keep it from decaying further. The owner has not decided what to do with it yet. Listed status means that the interior has to remain unaltered as well as the exterior. There is now a new garden on the end of the range of buildings with a brand new swimming pool. The apartment is nice, although the kitchen/living room is a bit small. There is a massive covered and paved outside space where we can eat if we wish.
