Chiswick House                                          Home    London

Chiswick is an English Heritage property, a Palladian villa of modest proportions, built onto an earlier Jacobean building which has now disappeared. It was created by the third Earl of Burlington with interiors by William Kent. Two wings were built onto the villa during the 19th century, one either side. These, however, were demolished during a restoration in the 1960s and a link building erected to link to the remnants of the original Jacobean building.
