Provence
We stayed in a self-catering 1 bedroom house in Saint-Remy-de-Provence for a week. We intended to explore some of the Roman remains, see some of the area including the bridge at Avignon and to see some Provence lavender. In the event we found more Roman remains than we expected; we visited a Lavender Museum but did not find the lavender fields as they were miles away from the museum; we did explore some of the local area including the Alpilles and walked on the bridge at Avignon.
The house was surrounded by fences, hedges, trees so it was difficult to get a good picture. The Alpilles could be seen from the garden, they were no more than a couple of miles away. Third photo shows a local garden with a mass of lavender.
