Day 3  Monday 13th May

We drove to Marazion and took a boat trip to St Michael's Mount. The weather was very windy with occasional sunny periods. The wind, being from the northwest was cold, so wrap up warmly was the order of the day. The visit to the castle was very interesting and the gardens were also interesting in the range of plants to be seen.

Later in the afternoon we drove to Porthcurno to look at the Telegraph Hut and Museum.  We arrived too late to visit the Museum but did look at the beach and hut where the telegraph cables from around the world come ashore and terminate in a small stone hut near the beach.  Connections from there were made around the country.
