A One week holiday based on Caernarfon, North Wales - Monday 17th August 2009

We drove to Llandudno to have a ride on the Great Orme Tramway. We would also have liked to ride on the cable cars up and down the great Orme but it was too windy and they were not running. It was indeed very windy on the Great Orme, but we explored the summit, the Visitor Centre and looked at the wild 'cashmere' goats. We declined a coffee and returned by an early tram. After a stroll along the prom and through the shopping streets, we had a lunch in a cafe and then drove out to Bodnant. The gardens at Bodnant are extensive and quite interesting and we spent over 2 hours there. Afterwards it was a cup of coffee in the tearooms and then to Morrisons in Caernarfon to shop for food.
