A One week holiday based on Caernarfon, North Wales - Saturday 15th August 2009
Home Wales Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
We drove up to North Wales stopping at Attingham Park, near Shrewsbury, for lunch and to explore the grounds and house. Afterwards we continued up the A5 by way of a traffic blockage due to an earlier accident. At Capel Curig we diverted from the A5 to go through the Llanberis Pass. Here we encountered torrential rain for a time. At the end of the day we had a glorious sunset over the Menai Straits and Anglesey.

Below are photographs of buildings at Attingham Park, mainly in the Walled Garden. It was not possible to take a photograph of the main house front. There were no postcards in the shop. The last picture is the gatehouse in the large courtyard.
