A one week holiday based on Caernarfon, North Wales  -  Sunday 16th August 2009

We drove over the hill to visit Llanberis in order to investigate the Snowdon Mountain Railway. We found that the early morning train (half price) was booked up for the week. The first available seats were on a train about 2.00pm today. As we had already agreed to go and visit Gareth and family for the afternoon we declined to book.

We went food shopping in the local Morrisons and then returned to the cottage for lunch. In the afternoon we investigated the Welsh Highland Railway station in Caernarfon before driving out to visit Gareth and family for an afternoon on the beach. The project for today is build a crazy golf course on the beach and have a golf competition.
