A holiday on the Isle of Wight 6th - 13th June 2009
Home Wight Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
Friday 12th June
This was a gardens day. We visited Ventnor Botanical Gardens which had themed areas from many areas of the world. Later we visited Appuldurcombe House (English Heritage) which was a shell with a couple of restored bits to show how it would have been when built (1701 with later changes and additions). We went up onto St Boniface Down for our picnic lunch. We were close to the site of Ventnor Radar Station of WW2 fame. Later we went to Godshill and had a walk around the village and an ice cream.
