Day 2 - Friday 30th May 2014

We rose in plenty of time to have breakfast (a reasonable breakfast but the organisation and facilities were poor at the Mercure Gare de Lyon hotel) before checking out. We walked next door to the station and identified our train - a joint train made up of 2 complete trains joined together for the journey down to Lyons.  Our train was to go on to Milan and the other train was to go to Annecy. They were seperated at one of the stations and we continued on through the Alps towards Italy.
