This holiday is different from all previous excursions to Europe and Italy in particular, The original idea was to go Euro-railing. However, we backed off from that due to our desire for a modicum of comfort in the hotels we were to use.  We used a holiday company who were used to rail travel and booked a 3 centre holiday, travelling by rail from UK to Turin, Milan and Sirmione on Lake Garda.  The latter was for a week R & R after the two city breaks.
